Flagler Technical College Early Childhood Education Program
The Early Childhood Education program prepares students for the Florida ECPC with hands-on activities, meeting Florida Staff Credential requirements and earning nine college credits. It covers safe learning environments, child development, family relationships, and program management. Employment in the field is required.
An adult first, self-regulation practice that enhances an adult's ability to respond rather than react to children's upset and conflict situations. It teaches positive problem-solving and healthy self-regulation strategies to children. Conscious Discipline also directly aligns with CLASS dimensions to support high quality, highly effective interactions between teachers and children, as well as families and children.
