CHILD CARE PROVIDER PARTICIPATION IN THE VOLUNTARY PREKINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

To request participation in the Voluntary Prekindergarten program in Flagler and Volusia Counties, a child care provider must complete a Statewide Voluntary Prekindergarten Provider Contract and submit all required documentation, as indicated in the Statewide Voluntary Prekindergarten Provider Contract.  The contract and all required documentation must be submitted electronically through the ELCFV Provider Portal It may be helpful to read the manual to help you get started.

The 2016 – 2017 VPK Application Instructions are located in the
Downloadable Documents section of the portal dashboard.  Please follow these instructions to ensure a complete and correct submission.

2016 – 2017 School Year Program Request Submission Dates:

  • August/September 2016 Start Dates: Programs requesting to offer their first day of VPK instruction on or after the first day of school for the local public school district and before September 30, 2016 must submit their complete request no later than July 15, 2016.  
  • October 2016 Start Dates: Programs requesting to offer their first day of VPK instruction on or after October 1, 2016, must submit their complete request no later than September 15, 2016. 
  • Start dates after October 31, 2016: Programs requesting to offer their first day of VPK instruction on or after the 15th day of the month must submit their complete packet no later than the 15th of the month prior to the start month.  For example, a program requesting a January 2, 2017 start date must submit their complete packet no later than November 13, 2016.
