Intro to the Early Learning Coalition
Learning is child’s play! For children birth to age 5, quality early education and care puts them on the road to success when they enter school. While it may look like play to you, early childhood education curriculums are designed to ignite your child’s imagination, create a love of books, and assist in development of language, social, and emotional skills. The end result: your child enters kindergarten ready to learn!
The Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia Counties administers:
- School Readiness early care and education programs and the
- Voluntary PreKindergarten (VPK) program. Parents of 4 year-olds can help their children prepare to learn by enrolling them in the Voluntary PreKindergarten program, available FREE to all Florida 4 year-olds.
Parents of infants and toddlers have a responsibility to learn how to choose quality School Readiness child care and use that knowledge to select the best possible program for their child. The Early Learning Coalition can help you understand how. Click here for more information regarding Choosing Quality Child Care
