FL Steps

Professional Development Initiative;
Important Update!

The FL Steps to Success pilot project that is coordinated by the State of Florida Office of Early Learning is undergoing some changes which will shift the focus of the project to the standardized Outcomes Driven training (ODT) modules and away from the other 2 components of career advising and the statewide registry.

Effective immediately formal Career Advising activities as well as membership in the Statewide Registry will not be a part of the pilot. The Office of Early Learning is in the process of exploring future options for a provider registry and other components of a professional development system for practitioners which ELCFV will keep you informed of as the information becomes available. For those of you who may have already submitted registry and/or career advising paperwork, you will be receiving a separate email with further information very soon.

Scheduled sessions of ODT training Family Involvement (April 14 – May 5) will continue as planned.

Please direct any questions that you may have concerning the pilot project to:

Gypsy Gardner, Provider Program Team Member
386-323-2400 (the operator will direct your call to Gypsy)
ggardner@elcfv.org

Thank you for your patience as changes to the project are implemented. The ELCFV staff will continue as always to offer support and guidance concerning your professional development plans and the opportunities available.
